In 1990 I had the pleasure of playing bass on a recording project with Earl Lundy and Hilary Manning at their Dublin Street, New Orleans home studio. Recently discovered songs recorded at these sessions surfaced from the analog mix vault and were “One Knob Squeezed” by Perry “Lightning” Trest for our 2021 listening enjoyment. “Saints of Fire” by Changelings.
This is like walking into the 80s and finding the modern New Orleans creative hive!! I love the random rhythms and the mounting energy, and Earl’s vocals mixed with Hillary’s are super cool.
You can quote any of that.
